
Overview
Botswana’s Chobe National Park has the largest concentration of elephants in Africa, with over 120,000 elephants, while the Okavango Delta, historically connected to Chobe, is the world’s largest inland delta where the Okavango River empties into the Kalahari Desert instead of the sea. Okavango delta was declared UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2014 and it is one of the few inland deltas in the world which is declared a biodiversity hotspot. The Okavango is home to the big 5 and it has over 500 different bird species. Chobe National Park is 11, 700 Square kilometres and the Okavango is 15 000 square kilometres during the peak season and drops to about 8 000 square kilometres during the dry season.
During this safari, will have a rare opportunity to combine wildlife experiences in both reserves. You start your safari in Maun (lower edge of the Okavango) and end in Kasane (Chobe). You will move from one lodge to another via road and light aircraft enjoying Botswana’s unique landscape and flora and fauna.
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Sedia lodge
• On arrival at Maun airport (MUB) you will be warmly welcome by one of Sedia Hotel representatives and transfer you to Sedia Hotel. It will take approximately 20 minutes’ drive from the Airport to the Hotel.
• You will then check in and offer cold refreshment, making yourself comfortable and relaxing from the international flight
• You will spend two nights at Sedia Hotel in a cozy room with views of the beautiful gardens, delightful terrace restaurant and swimming pool. The Hotel offers a variety of luxuries allowing you to take necessary time to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
• You will freshen up in your room followed by siesta. You can use the swimming pool and walk around the exquisite garden.
• Dinner will be from 5pm to 930pm.
• After Dinner you may chill by the bar enjoy music and have refreshment.
Day 2: Maun Immersive afternoon Tour Approx 3hrs
• The next morning you start your day with breakfast from 06:30- 10:00 in the lodge.
• After breakfast you will be picked up at 10:00 for Maun Immersive Tour for 3hours. Discover Maun ‘s dusty road, donkey carts and vibrant corners. Get an authentic glimpse of the local culture, food and people in Botswana. Learn about Botswana customs, traditions and crafts firsthand from your host and our artisans
• Around 1230 am you will drive back to the hotel. You will freshen up and have lunch in the Hotel.
• After lunch, it’s time to rest from the activities of the day. You will take your siesta at your room or use the swimming pool.
• Dinner will be outside the lodge. You will be picked up at 18:00 and drive approximately 10 minutes from the lodge to restaurant. It is a famous restaurant in Maun that serves delicious food in town. The restaurant creates and friendly atmosphere which makes the guests feel they are at home in their community (home from home).
• After dinner you will be picked up at 20:00 and transferred back to the hotel.
• Resting time.

Day 3: Road transfer from Sedia Hotel to Khwai Guesthouse
• Breakfast from 06:30 -08:00
• Pack up and get ready to meet your guide.
• From 08:30 you will head out of Maun to Khwai by an open 4x4 vehicle and drive to Khwai Guesthouse (Appropriately 5 hours’ road transfer). On the way you have a chance to experience and explore the nature expect to see elephants, giraffes etc.
• You will then check in at Khwai Guesthouse with warm welcome, making yourself comfortable and relaxing from long drive. Khwai Guesthouse offers amazingly affordable safari lodging set amongst one of the main highlights of Botswana’s wilderness.
• Lunch will follow after checking in.
• You will have a short rest and prepare yourself for the first activity.
• Around 15:30, walk to the main area for your afternoon high tea. Make sure to bring cameras and necessities you will need during activity. Then head out to do your afternoon game viewing activity for approximately 3hours other options may be game drive, mokoro, guided bush walks.
• You will return to the guesthouse in the evening, freshen up in your rooms and come back to the main area for dinner.
• After Dinner you will have an update from the guide about the next activity for tomorrow. The guide will escort you to your rooms
Day 4: Wildlife experience at Khwai Guesthouse(Eastern Okavango)
• Wakeup call at 05:00 am
• You will have early light breakfast in the main area around 05:30. The time for breakfast may change depending on the season. Immediately after your breakfast, your guide will take you to the 4x4 safari vehicle and head out to do your morning game drive while it’s still early to see wildlife.
• After the activity you will drive back to the guesthouse for brunch /lunch.
• Afternoon siesta will follow. You can relax at the balcony of your room and enjoy the African bush and bird sightings.
• Around 15:00 you will have afternoon high tea. Then you head out to do afternoon game drive. Again, options include mokoro excursions and village tours.
• Return back to the guesthouse and freshen up in your rooms.
• Walk to the main area for dinner.
Day 5 :Mokoro excursion experience (Khwai Guest House)
• The next morning begins with English breakfast from 06:30 and it will last for an hour.
• Get your cameras and necessities, meet up with guide to brief you on the mokoro excursion.
• Around 08:00 you will head out to Mokoro station. Participating in Mokoro excursion will give you a chance to be close to wildlife. Enjoying the fresh breeze and exploring the magnificent of the river. The activities will last 3 hours.
• Arriving at the mokoro station and meeting up with mokoro polers. You will be given full information on the safety of mokoro and rules and regulations about mokoro.
• Mokoro excursion will start at 09:00 until 11:00 and return back to the station.
• You will be polled back to the pick-up station, and the guide will drive back to guesthouse.
• Freshen up and join brunch /lunch.
• Afternoon siesta in your room.
• You will have afternoon high tea at 15:30 and be ready to leave the guesthouse.
• Around 16:00 you will leave the guesthouse with an experienced guide to do afternoon game drive. Game drive in the Khwai concession. The activity will take approximately 3 hours.
• Drive back to the guesthouse, freshen up and walk to the main area for dinner.
• After dinner guide will escort you to your room.
Day 6: Road transfer from Khwai Guest to Mababe River Lodge and Campsites
Note: All the daily routines in the next safari lodges/camps, follow the same format as below:
• The next morning you will start with bbreakfast from 06:00
• Immediately after your breakfast, your guide will take you by 4x4 safari vehicle and head out to do morning Village tour which will last 2hours. You will have chance to engage with the local community to learn about their way of life and contribute to the local conservation efforts, again options include game drive and mokoro.
• Return back to the guesthouse.
• Pack up and get ready to meet your guide.
• Your guide will brief you on the next destination. Drive from Khwai guesthouse to Mababe River lodge and Campsite. (approximately 2 hours’ drive)
• A slow drive toward Mababe area. You will have time to experience the landscape and nature of two different places.
• Have packed lunch along the way. The guide will find a safe resting spot and have packed lunch.
• Arrive at Mababe River Lodge and Campsite and receive warm welcome from friendly staff.
• Check in the lodge. Mababe lodge provides air-conditioned rooms with a balcony, swimming pool overlooking the flood plain.
• You will have time to relax in your room and be ready for your afternoon activity.
• Afternoon game drive will start at 16:00. The game drive will cover the Mababe area, well known for its diverse ecosystem and wildlife.
• Drive back to the lodge, freshen up and walk to the main area.
• Dinner from 19:00 to 21:00
• After dinner, the guide will escort you to your rooms.
Day 7: Wildlife experience in Savuti Area (Day trip to Savuti)
Note: All the daily routines in the next safari lodges/camps, follow the same format as below:
• Wake up call around 05:00
• Around 05:30, the guide will meet you up and brief you on the early morning activity.
• After briefing you will leave the lodge to participate in Savuti Day Trip. You will have chance to experience the Savuti marsh, and it is also known for its predators.
• Packed breakfast will be offered on the way.
• Mid - afternoon game viewing activity in Savuti follows after lunch.
• After the game drive you will drive back to the Lodge.
• Arrive in the lodge, refresh and get ready to join dinner.
• Sleep time or have high time by the Bar.
Day 8: Road transfer from Mababe River lodge To Mwandi View
Note: All the daily routines in the next safari lodges/camps, follow the same format as below:
• On your last day in Mababe Lodge, you will have breakfast in the lodge.
• Pack your luggage, check out and meet your experienced guide
• The guide will brief you on the next destination, Mwandi View, and you will leave the lodge.
• 09:00 You will slowly start heading to Mwandi View (approximately 6 hours’ drive)
• On the way you will drive along the Savuti area.
• Have packed lunch
• Check in at Mwandi view.
• After checking in you will have an afternoon siesta in your room, or you could either relax at the pool on the main deck with an ice-cold drink.
• Dinner
Day 9: Road transfer from Mwandi View to Two River Hotel
Note: All the daily routines in the next safari lodges/camps, follow the same format as below:
• You will have breakfast
• Immediately after breakfast, pack and be ready to depart Mwandi View
• Depart from Mwandi view to Kasane (approximately 1h30 drive)
• Lunch in Kasane at Chobe Safari Lodge overlooking the river view.
• After lunch you will drive to Two Rivers Hotel.
• Check in at Two River hotel
• Rest time
• Afternoon boat cruise in Chobe (Options: game drive, Cultural tour)
• Get back to the lodge
• Dinner
Day 10: Wildlife experience at Two River Hotel
Note: All the daily routines in the next safari lodges/camps, follow the same format as below:
• Breakfast will start from 06:00 to 08:00 for an hour.
• After breakfast you participate in the morning game drive appropriately 3 hours.
• Around 12:00 return back to the Hotel for brunch /lunch and freshen up
• Afternoon siesta you may use the swimming pool or book beauty & spar.
• Around 16:00 you will leave the hotel with an experienced guide to do afternoon game drive. Game drive in the Chobe National Park. The activity will take 3 hours. Again, other options include boat cruise, kazungula bridge tour and Ngoma village tours
• Return back to hotel around 19:00 and join in dinner.
Day 11: Road transfer from Two River Hotel to Pioneer Hotel End of Itinerary
• Wake up early in the morning and have breakfast
• From 9:00 you will be picked up from the hotel to do boat cruise at Chobe River. Morning boat cruises are extraordinary, with the animals heading to the river for morning drinks, excellent bird sighting and silent approach to animals.
• Return back to the hotel, pack and get ready to check out.
• Shuttle transfer from Two River Hotel to Pioneer Hotel (approximately 1 hour)
• Arrive at Pioneer Hotel and check in. Pioneer hotel will allow you to enjoy sun terrace and swimming pool.
• Lunch in the lodge followed by rest
• Around 16:00 you will walk to Victoria Falls (approximately 15 minutes’ walk). Other activity; visiting the Livingstone Museum
• Return back to the hotel and freshen up
• Dinner
Day 12: Enjoy activities in Victoria Falls End of Itinerary
• The next morning you will start with bbreakfast
• You will do Victoria Falls activity and you can experience high -adrenaline adventure such as bungee jumping, white water rafting and bridge swings.
• Return back to the hotel
• Lunch around 1300 hours
• Afternoon siesta, you can go shopping or walk around the hotel.
• After siesta, you will visit the Livingstone Museum. The tour guide will take you through the museum to learn more about the history of Zambia.
• Walk back to the hotel and freshen up
• Dinner approximately 19:00 to 21:00
Day 13: Shuttle transfer from Pioneer Hotel to Victoria Falls International Airport(VFA) End of Itinerary
• You will have breakfast
• Immediately after breakfast you will visit Elephants Walk shopping center and village Art to explore the local shopping and arts hub located near the fall.
• Return back to the hotel
• Check out
• Picked up from the Pioneer Hotel and dropped off at Victoria International Airport (VFA)
